    My 63 rides again!

First day of driving since I tore down the engine!

And the reason it was down....

The detail in that engine by is a credit to you, the fit and finish looks awesome. What have you done to the engine? I can see afternarket induction, MSD ignition, and a Blaster(?) coil. How's it run?
I like the Moon wheel covers. Hard to tell from the photo, but you've shaved the badges etc? Very cool car.

      Thanks!

I had the engine bored .060 over, balanced, the heads were ported and had stainless valves installed, FPA ceramic coated headers, the cam is a couple steps up from stock, stock intake, Demon 725 cfm carb, CD ignition system, Mallory Unilite distributor, all the brackets, braces, hood hinges, valve covers, etc. sandblasted & powdercoated, all stainless hardware on motor & brackets, 2.5"dual exhaust with a pair of 4" round Magnaflow mufflers.....and a LOT of elbow grease!

It runs awesome! The body is stock...I am just not a very good photographer...

        Nicely detailed engine compartment.

I like the smoothie wheel covers. It makes the car look like a land speed rocket.

                Thanks all!

I have always loved the gold Thunderbird valve covers with the Ford oval air cleaner; and I like the old school custom look of the Moon wheel covers too.

So far I have done the motor, trans, all new brakes & lines, fuel tank, sending unit & lines, rear suspension (if I could replace it, I did), front suspension-again, everything I could get new, also a front 1 1/8" sway bar, 1" rear sway bar, steering box rebuild, all new hoses & lines, motor & trans mounts.......that's about it LOL

I suppose the next big project is to re-wire the whole car & put the AC back in. The interior is all original (code 82, blue leather) and it is in pretty good shape, but when I do the wiring I'll go ahead and restore that too.

tbird430, there is a big car show in downtown Denton all day this Saturday, I'll be there & love meeting other Thunderbird owners!

                Randy

Looks great. My only addition I would do to the engine compartment would be to chrome the valve covers. It looks so good with that elongated air cleaner.

                      Would look more 'm codey'.

I have a great set of chrome valve covers, but I really prefer the gold for some reason.
