Carb rebuild kits

I posted a question before about rebuilding my carb and was wondering who makes a good rebuild kit? The local Carquest store has one but would one of the T-Bird parts sellers have a better quality kit? Thanks!

If you want a rebuild kit with a bunch of gaskets, and an accelerator pump -- most auto parts stores, and T-Bird vendors carry the same kits for about $35

Look up your carb by year make, model car, and carb number (listed under Passenger Cars, Ford).

Then call him up on the phone and confirm what you need with him. He's a very nice guy, and has been rebuilding carbs since 1966..

His kits are a little pricey, at about $75 -- but well worth it.

One thing -- he does NOT sell parts, so you need to talk to him first and ask him what he thinks. He will sell you a part only at the time that you are ordering a kit, but not as a separate item without a kit.

I recently used a Hygrade kit for rebuilding a Ford 4100. It seems to be of good quality.
