dash bezels 63

What is the last bezel on the left of the dash originally used for? I have all the usual suspects accounted for ( headlight, wipers, and ignition switch,) was this the power lock actuation point? do all 63 birds have the bezel? (small round chrome bezel with an empty hole thru the center, looks like maybe a cable or light originally?)
