    radiator cap pressure

What is the correct pressure for the radiator cap on a 352 motor?
I've seen pressures ranging from 7 lbs to 12 and 13 lbs in the parts catalogs.
I've sent back my defective surge tank and will get a new one - I just wanted to make sure that the radiator cap wasn't holding too much pressure and creating the problems I've been having.

    thanks,
    Casey

    RE: radiator cap pressure

Any radiator cap up to 15 psi would work on the car. The shop manuals do not maker any recomendations.

I have used 14 and 15 psi without any problems or leaks. You rather use a 14 psi cap rather than a 7 psi cap, as the higher the pressure the higher the boiling point and the less likely your car will boil over in hot weather.
