John, I just talked with Pat Wilson's in NJ as you suggested. They have the clips but they are in the parts cars and they won't be coming out until someone needs a windshield, and the clips will probably go along with that....

They are aware of the problem with the reproduction clips. No one makes these.

The only other places that I know of that have used parts are The Birds Nest in Oregon and The Thunderbird Connection in Arizona. You might also try John Draxler at the Thunderbird Ranch.

Steve, here are a few more places in the Advertisements Forum that sell old/NOS parts. A number of them are going to ask you for the Ford Part #. Since you know it, you will be able to give that to them. Here is the list. Look them up in the Advertisements Forum for their contact info. These are companies that I have called in the past, looking for parts for myself or others on the Forum. I would try John Draxler at Thunderbird Ranch first, if you can get in contact with him...

Thanks guys. I'm going to give this one more try making some calls tomorrow. If I can't locate 4 clips tomorrow then the molding is going on with the three I have plus 4 globs of Goop.

Last Friday I made over 25 contacts looking for these parts. Ken at http://www.justclippsauto.com/ thinks he might have something that will work. I've talked with him twice now, and sent him photos and a dimensional drawing.

Jeff at Restoration Specialties says he has the exact clips, so he's sending them next-day delivery in time for my glass install, which is scheduled for this Friday. Once I evaluate them I'll let you know so you can update the advertisers forum.

Thanks for posting that information, Steve! I have added it to our Advertisements Forum. I just spoke with the owner of Restoration Specialties and Supply who happens to own a '55 Tbird! His name is Dave Mihalko and I have invited him to join our Forum. He said the reason why you did not find that information on the Reveal Clip 8187 (sold as an "each" item for $2ea.) for your Flairbird is that it is not listed online yet. If others need those clips for your Flairbird, give them a call. There is only about 10% of their stock listed in their online store so far. He said they have many parts for Tbirds, from 1955 to the early 80's in their stock. Things such as Belt Weather Strips and Division Bars and much more. They probably have those windshield retaining clips for other years of Tbirds also. They also have many parts for other cars besides FOMOCO. They are sending me their catalog, and if you want one also, you can contact them at info@restorationspecialties.com or call 814-467-9842.

Thanks to Steve's research, we might have found an important source of parts that are often hard to find.

Their paper catalog is incomplete as well, and they say throughout if you don't see what you need, email them a picture as I did.

According to the catalog, all the reveal "moulding" clips (their spelling) are NOS. So I was wrong when I said they were reproductions. Makes sense because they are exactly like the ones I have.
