I thought it might be fun to see if anyone can guess what the trouble was with my '66 Thunderbird. It took me the better part of a week and a half to figure it out (not good for my ego). Here's a little background: 1966 Thunderbird, 390 engine, new fuel pump, distributor, timing gears/chain, rebuilt carburetor, new plugs/wires. The car was running great until one day I started it up and it sputtered for two or three seconds and then died and wouldn't refire. The plugs were wet with gas. I would dry them out, reinstall them and the same thing would happen. Only one guess per person. Unfortunately there are no prizes; this is just for amusement and to make me feel dumber than I already feel.
