    bumper jack

my 66 bumper jack has a .5" dia hole in the piece that hooks to the bumper. Is there supposed to be something in that hole? Also, I need a couple photos of the jack and tools stowed in the trunk of a 66 convertible-thanks

Go onto eBay and search for " 1966 Thunderbird jack instruction decal " and you will see the instruction for stowage . You will need one of these to affix to your trunk lid anyways . No idea on the hole . Could be to hold it up for painting etc. when it was made .

I had to look to see what you were referring to. That's the only piece of my car that I have yet to restore, and it's sitting in a corner of my garage.

It looks to me to be for a rubber stop to protect the chrome on the bumper.
