Band Adjustments

I’m thinking about to adjust the front and rear bands in the transmission. The shop manual describes how to do it with special tools. Is it possible to do it with ordinary tools and a torque wrench? I noted there is a big difference in torque between the front band adjusting screw and the rear band adjusting screw. Thanks for any advice and tips

You should be able to do it with regular tools but I haven't done one yet. Locally in the States we can rent special tools and get our money back after returning them from parts stores. Unlike the rest of the world you can find car parts stores every five miles in big cities.

Thanks for the respond. It seems to be a good idea to rent the low torque tool from a car repair shop.
