    GAS tank filler neck

On my 62 I replaced the gas tank but having a problem with gas leaking out when over half full, it seem to be leaking where filler neck joins the tank. I have replaced the O ring buit still leaks, I have even sealed neck to gas tank with silicone type gasket that is impervious to gasoline.I've had tank out 3 or 4 times. Any suggestions?

Gas, if someone like John ~ jopizz does not come along and answer your question, or another Bulletbird owner, I would suggest you call the company there in Canada who makes our gas tanks for us. Here is the Contact info for Spectra there in Canada...

Are you sure it's leaking from the filler and not the vent tube. A new gasket and silicone sealer should've done the trick. It's also possible that it's leaking from where the filler opening is welded to the tank. Possibly a bad weld.

        Thanks Ray / John
I've dropped the tank not all the way and supported it, so I'm going to add gas to it and see exactly where it's leaking. and let you know.

The new tanks come with a new o-ring for the sender. You should've gotten one.
