...and a 'Yankee Doodle' THANKS, from Detroit, Scumdog. We have had fabulous fireworks displays all over town all week. We start early because Canada Day is also celebrated here.

Ford's Windsor (Ontario) Engine Plant is only a couple miles from Detroit. They made some of our finest car and truck engines for many decades (and they still do). The 351W engine is the best engine ever made and the new Mustang 427 engine is built on it.

While many Canadians view Windsor as, 'almost Canadian', we view Detroit as, 'almost American'. Our coin slots all say, "US COINS ONLY". And, every Detroiter knows what Loonies and Toonies are:

      Thanks Tom,

Every time I see you post I am reminded that I was fortunate to spend a few weeks in Christchurch in the early 70's.

I have fond memories of the people there and, of course, especially the New Zealand girls.
