Engine progress

Well after several months of not being able to work on the car, I am glad to say things are starting to get back on track. The valve covers, engine block and lines are all finished. I am waiting on my carb to come back then it will be time for a ride! Can't wait for warm weather to be here for good, its 30 degrees here this morning in Michigan! Take care my friends

It is absolutely gorgeous and you ought to be very proud. Attention to detail like that has to be admired. Almost a shame to put the hood down...maybe a plexiglass window in the hood to show it off. Congrats on fine work. Grant

Grant, Thanks for the nice words, I agree with you, once its done I will not want to close the hood! Still have a lot to do but the end is in sight.....

What did you use to paint the fuel lines and the throttle bracket?

I used engine primer and then high temp engine paint. Not sure how long it will last but I made sure it was very clean before painting. The natural steel lines look bad after some time, hopefully this will be better.
