I loved the Elvira movie.

Judging from the spear on the door, it is a 1959 Thunderbird. Monogram released the Macabremobile as a 1958, because that is the model they already had the mold for.

The car is actually not a convertible. It is a hardtop with the roof cut off.

Macabremobile Listed on Barrett-Jackson

I was watching this on Barrett-Jackson but it did not sell, I guess the reserve was set to high, not for me if money was not an option it would be sitting in my driveway right now!

I tought Barrett-Jackson auctions were all "no reserve".
That price looks pretty reasonable considering the history of the car!

as for the Barrett-Jackson auctions I have seen some reserves pretty high if the car does not sell the seller pays the commission on the bid!

well now, you never said anything about the "accessories" included with the car. That particular top-heavy one would certainly drive up the price.
