As a follow up to my precious question to Coker I asked if there was an age limit for returning "new" tires the response was:

"...We do not have an age limit, but as was said before, our stock levels generally insure that stock is rotated in such a way that tires are not old when shipped. We do not return tires for that reason, but we do cover them for the life of the tread no matter how old or new they are."

In other words, you have no guarantee as to how old the tires are when they sell them to you. It is not clear what the warranty covers. If it just the cost of the tire that may be small comfort if you have suffered significant damage as the result of a failed tire.

      Hmmmm....
My tires was little difficult to date.....
My spare, something called Riverside ST-7 Nylon did have something that looked like some kind of date / identity number, but not at the same place as new tires. However, there was two "insert boxes" of codes, and the first said : N2R2308 and the other said: 7839. Hardly week 78 1939, but that tire look real old. More than vintage as a matter of fact. Itīs not round either anymore, and from the top wiew, it looks close to a Coca Cola bottle.
Now, the 4 on the car did not have any numbers what so ever. Brand is: Road King Courier. Made in Mexico.
      Any clue anyone?
When did they start with these numbers?

it might be that the 2308 means the 23rd week of 2008.
Would that be possible, given when you bought them?? (if you bought them in 2006, that shoots it all to ****...)

The date info on my tires is more indented than any of the other data. Kind of stamped in, insteaded of molded in.

Iīll would say not a chance. That tire must be from the ī60:s...
Just for fun, I Googled "Riverside" tires, and this came up:
Talking with the vendors, I was informed Coker makes all Model T tires now available with the possible exception of the Riversides.

You see, itīs an old one

If my memory serves me well, I believe Riverside tires were a house brand from Montgomery Ward, a department store chain that sold batteries and tires (much like Sears Roebuck). Wards closed its retail stores and mail order business in 2001. In 2004, a company in Iowa revived the Wards name.

Allstate & Guardsman were Sears, Atlas was Standard Oil, and Riverside was Montgomery Ward. - Dave

I've been using the 303 protectant on the wide whites to combat the UV and try to preserve them as much as possible. Maybe just another snake oil but it works great on the Sunbrella and the description says for rubber, too.
