If you have a 1958 or 1959 T-Bird, there is a drain plug at the bottom of the differential. In 1960 they eliminated that, so you need to suction it out from the fill hole. they sell suction guns in the auto parts stores. They look similar to grease guns. Attach a hole to the suction gun so you can pull out the oil.

Thanks Alex! I took the T-Bird out today and stopped at Lube place that's new in town and they removed the old gear oil and added new oil plus I had them install a bottle of special gear oil to help out with gear noise. It cost 19.99 to have them remove the old oil and complete this job. Well worth the money spent as I wasn't looking forward to crawling under the back end and doing that job. Oh yes that special oil really did make a difference with the rear end howl. Now it's to a point where I really don't know mind it. Jon
