Any idea of where I can get one of these? Mine has a tear down the side. I was thinking that I could find one that's close and just cut the opening where the hockey stick pokes through.

I've studied alot of the T-bird parts catalogs, and I dont think I've ever seen reproductions of those particular items offered for sale. Hopefully I am wrong here.

you may have to just find the right size rubber plug and do some surgery with an exacto knife.

i went to the junkyard and pull off a few from cars that were same o.d. i took from mostly toyota's cuz i work for a toyota dealer in the part depo and knew the numbering system(the part#are on rubber) was going to order a new one but the one i had was in good shape. so i used it for a small wire harness that im putting in

Marcelo, I asked Carl Heller - partsetal for you if he had one of these rubber dust boots you need. His response was that he does not have any good ones. Any that he has are probably in worse shape than the one you have, all crumbly and messed up. Then he told me that many people just don't use them anymore, anyway. They go without it. Supposedly, it's main purpose is to keep any smell or heat from going through the firewall hole and into the interior of the car.

Mine was split too when I was doing my conversion. Finally did as you said - found one close and did a little "modification". Just went through the stock items at Advance and O'Riley. It works but sure would be nice to find a close replacement from a modern car as Pedro suggests because it will be a pain to change it.

Problem is there are only a few gazillion cars to go check.
Maybe another Ford will have something similar? Baby Birds and trucks seem to have a better parts selection.

The '61-'63 Kelsey-Hayes boosters used a rubber boot through the firewall with a rectangular opening for the bar that goes from the pedal arm to the bellcrank - same function as the one pictured for the Bendix-style booster. It may be a place to start.

Its not perfect but it is much better then nothing and a decent compromise. The fact that it has a slot and not a round hole was my concern.
