    Spark Plugs for 430

I was wondering what Brand and Number plugs you are using in the 430?

I'm using Champion RF-11YC now, but I've never liked champions very much -- personal preference.

Can some of you post a few replys for comparison?

I use Autolite Platinum number AP45 for two years and about 7 000 miles they are a good spark plug.

In addition I took out the points and put in a Petronix electronic ignition which makes a noticable improvement in overall performance over the point type ignition . Still have the original yellow top Ford coil and a NAPA spark plug wires .

I put dielectric gel on all the connections on both ends of the plug and coil wires that also seems to help overall.

    Best to you

Thanks for the reply. I also have the Pertronix -- great not having points to mess with. I've never used Platinum plugs, so I'll try the Autolite AP45's.

Since no one else replied, I guess that you and I are the only ones using spark plugs

Do you remember what number plug on the Autolite?
