Forward adjuster problem

Working with a Sunroof panel and I find an adjuster screw on one side is missing. I have a complete panel for parts but can't figure out how to remove the adjuster screw. The hole in the center of the screw leads nowhere that I can feel with a pick or a screwdriver, turning the screw also leads nowhere without damaging things. Has anyone removed this adjusting screw from the panel?

I've never taken one out but going by the pictures it looks like the socket it goes into is keyed. Have you tried turning it clockwise or counterclockwise and see if it comes out. To me it looks like it just pushes in and turns to lock it.
