    purchasing valve covers and gaskets

We found the leak in my thunderbird it turns out to be the valve covers our a little warped or bent. What our the orginal valve covers made out of that came with the car. I can pick up a set from summit racing for about 60.00 dollars they re made from chrome and steel. Id like a alumium set where do you find those at. I own a 62 t-bird. Thanks Larry. Also what type of good gasket do you recommend. Is a quarter inch better or what.

You definitely want cast aluminum rocker covers?

Do you want ribbed? Closed or open? (Assume you have a 58/60)

QUALITY aluminum covers will include a cast in flange to hold the gasket steady. Make sure whatever you choose has at least this feature.
