Speaker Removal

My name is Lance Hogan and I am a newbie here on Squarebirds. I have my father's 1960 HT Thunderbird (his first car) and would like to know how to remove the speaker. I checked the manual and it is very vague. Any information would be very much appreciated.

The center console has to be unscrewed & lifted up. There will be 4 wingnut screws on the back-side of the speaker grill.

This requires that you loosen & slide the ac/heater controls up & out of the way too...
