Trunk Mats

Anyone know a source where you can purchase trunk mats with snaps installed for a 1960? I have found several that have reproductions but without snaps.

The side cardbord on the 1958 to 1960 Thunderbird is held on by clips. These may be the snaps you are referring to. These clips are reproduced and can be bought with the trunk mat/cardboard set. You will need to carefully punch out the cardboard to get the clips to alighn with the holes in the trunk inner sheetmetal. The traced circles on the back of the cardboard is misleading. Do not trust it. Use your old cardboard as templates.

Go to Google.com and do a search for Original auto interiors.

They have both styles of trunk kits. Vinyl overlays which I tink look awfull and the original Bertex trunk kits.

Are the Burtex kits still available? I heard they were reproduced for a while, but are no longer available.

I have some pictures of how I installed the trunk mat and cardboard on a 1958 Thunderbird. I hope to post it this weekend.

Thank you for the help and advise. I found a supplier out of Calif. but they only have the vinyl in black/white. I need a tan/white to match original colors. Will keep searching. Thanks again.
