2 yr old heater core leaking this evening

not a big leak, but my floormat is damp. I'm a little disappointed since this thing is only two yrs old.

has anyone else had this sort of problem with their reproduction heater cores?

I don't recall which place I bought it from.

Mine leaked right after I installed it. Fortunately, I still didn't have any carpeting in. I pulled the heater core back out and pressure tested with air in a water bath. Found a leak where one of the tubes was soldered to the tank. I called the company and they would let me return it, but I just resoldered the tube and all has been good.
I still do not like the rubber gasket that is pressed between one of the tubes and tank. I think this will always be a problem spot on this design.
I think one of the above is the most probable cause of a leak.

Yes, he is paid up, til 8-14-14, but good thinking. Greg, I just checked your record and I do not see anything that would prevent you from uploading pix to the server. Your Member icon is still there by your user id. Try restarting your computer and see if that clears things up, if you have not done so already. If that does not, contact Dave ~ simplyconnected. Perhaps he can help you figure out what is going on.

Any idea what caused this? It almost makes me wonder if the core should only be tightened on one side and allowed to float on the other to allow for thermal expansion.
Any of you old time Ford guys got any input?

I have a car buddy who runs a shop, and he said it looks like it froze at some point.
