Is the 352 fuel pump vacuum line a pass-through to the defunct wiper system? I had connected the power brake booster to this vacuum source on the passenger side of the engine. Would there be any advantage eliminating or cutting and capping this winding road of vacuum lines thus taking the fuel pump itself out of the picture, and then connect the booster closer to the manifold vacuum port?
My '60 was converted to an electric fuel pump before I bought the car. The vacuum pump was left on the front of the engine with both inlet and out vacuum lines attached for posterity. The manifold vacuum fitting is a single port routed to the pump only, and the pump vacuum line routed back on the passenger side of the engine which would operate the defunct wiper system. I concluded the single port set-up because my car didn't have power brakes originally. (And as I understand it, this line can't be combined to operate brakes and convert to PCV.)
