main seal 390 engine

Hi all,

I need to replace the rear main seal and oil pan gasket on my '64 Galaxie's 390 engine. I've done this procedure on my '60 TBird's 352 but I was wondering if it was the same.

Also, on my TBird, I was able to loosen the motor mounts and jack up the engine in order to remove the pan - will the same work on my 390 motor?

Thought someone in the group may have had experience with this before.

The motors are the same. The same procedure will work.
