    59 radiator re core cost

I took a drive today in my 430 and when I got back I saw a small stream of fluid spraying out the front of the grill about three foot from it.I saw some water before and thought it was the washing machine leaking because there was not any on the floor by the car.So I guess I will need it re-corded.I was wondering about what it cost if anyone else has had it done.I took the one out of my 59 352 to put in it and the fins were all crumbly so I didn't want to put it in my 430 because it may do the same thing ,so it looks like I will have to get them both done.

Depending on the current cost of copper, my guess would be in the $350-$400 dollar range for each radiator.

Went to some local shops today and one place was $484 total and another was $307 out the door to re core it,guess which one I went for.I had had him do a heather core a long time ago and was happy with it.I think the $307 was a good price.

Hey Tom I have the radiator from my 60 in the basement. I had it checked out by a local shop back when I thought I was going to use it and they said it was ok. I ended up using a different radiator so if you want it I'm sure we can agree on terms.

Just had my 66's record. It was a two row which i thought was a little weak. They charged 375 and made it a 3 row. Nice and cool now and piece of mind.

                      aluminum rasiator replacement

I bought a racing radiator from Speedway Motors in Lincoln, NE . cost about $175.00 shipped. Only thing is if you have an automatic transmission, you will have to buy a cooler for it, about another $40.00.
