Here's my car back in my garage with the trophy. Selection was based on "People's Choice", which is what the crowd (according to the judges) liked the best. I got there a bit late and was in a far corner, yet people were looking at it, asking questions nearly non-stop. Lots of folks took pictures and one guy took like a 5 minute movie. LOL
The orange Camaro won first place. It's a $300,000 custom that made the rounds of national car shows. The blue Camaro is almost as over-the-top, won a bucket of car care products.
Maybe if I had washed the brake dust off my front wheels I could have got first.Comment

Tonight's Forever Classic cruise-in, found a spot next to my new buddy Wayne and his wife Shelby. He's got an amazing '65, mostly original.Attached FilesComment

This is a fully optioned car, compared to mine which has almost no options. His AC compressor has been changed to a Sanden type, and someone used a non-AC power steering pump to replace the original, making it nearly impossible to change out spark plugs 5 and 6. Otherwise it's a nice specimen with 80k miles on her.
This is the first time that I have seen one with cruise control.Attached FilesComment
