    Plug fouling

    OK, again I need help
Can anybody tell me the AC and Champion sparkplug equivalent to the Autolite BF 42?? or any other good plug type?

My '66 seems to foul rather readily if used around town too much, it has a mixture of NGK and Champion plugs (both have only 1,000 miles on them) and the car is now stumbling under load and even at times while moving at slow speed.

It has a Petronics electronic ignition system and a 'Made in Mexico' coil (new when I got the car), could the coil be the problem?

How about going back with Motorcraft plugs?

If you don't run her much. Go for a hotter plug. But NO champs in a ford. I never had any luck there. GM I guess ok............

Hmm, I will have to try to find a source of Motorcraft plugs....

Are NGK any good? - I have heard of them being used in race motors on the strip but on the street??

You need a MATCHED set of plugs to begin diagnosis as to fouling (if they are). NGK is a premium plug manufacturer if MOTORCRAFT is hard to find.
