have done that with success . . . found a scrap piece of pipe material, screwed it into that and then applied air with the air nozzle while holding multimeter leads.
If you use DOT 5 fluid, they tend to have about a 2 year life. Something inside ceases to flex anymore. If DOT 3 or 4, ignore my comment.

I just recently changed my Brake Light switch, but made no difference. I later discovered that the live wire just before the fuse had broken off. After reconnecting the wire, the Brake Lights are working again. Now I have a spare Switch. I'm not saying that you have the same problem, but check it just the same including the Fuse. It seats just under the Ignition Switch.

To test the wring just unplug both wires from the switch, touch them together and brake lights should light up.Comment

Just Trying To Finish Up My Power Disc Conversion. The Brake Lights Work But The Switch Wont Turn Them On. I Bought A Plunger Style Switch ( Oriellys # S237) And Made A L Shaped Bracket, Mounted To The Column Suport. Hopefully I Can Test Drive The Car In The Morn.
