Another thing to consider is the wire wheels are a MAJOR PITA to clean! I've had them for many years and now enjoy the steel wheels. At least the wire baskets can be put in the dishwasher.

You may remember we are using all the original upholstery from the Bird just taking it all apart cleaning and stretching as we go, made new 1/8 inch birch wood kick panel backers and added courtesy lamps for the foot wells when the doors are opened. The lamps are LED and look just like the 56 Bird tag lamp light. Which I thought was a nice touch. Notice the aftermarket ac/heater box bracket in the lighted picture, that will be replaced with a new bracket we will build, we may not have caught that if I wasn't taking pictures, so guys it pay's to take pictures.
Now when a lady slides inside this bird in the dark she can see the floor and she doesn't have to worry about her stockings. See I'm always thinking about my clients well being.
Charley
PS--Also tying up a few loose ends under the drivers foot well for a new surprise!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow, got my shop computer back up and running after getting it hi-jacked by someone that wanted to hold it for ransom along with 4 years of other project builds.
I guess they thought it was worth a lot of money and it was I had the last 90 day's of unpaid non backed up billing on there.
Took a while but lesson learned.

Got a lot more pictures, but we took the bird out for a spin this morning thought you guy's might like to see the Bird.
And I'll get more pictures posted as I have time to post.
I kind of missed posting to you guy's updates.
That's Don the owner at the wheel, he drives like this thing is a **** Cat instead of a Bird.
