    A/C compressor

Hi, I took my a/c compressor out of my 62 while I detailed my engine compartment last year after I whike I was detailing the compressor the brittle power wire broke off at the magnetic connector on the compressor. After trying to open the crimped connector the whole thing broke up, does anyone know if the bolted on magnetic part with springs and such are sold or repaired or would it be better to buy a remanufactured compressor?

Remanufactured compressors are very expensive and they do not come with the clutch.

If you are describing the Brush Holder and it looks like this:

Then Google the part number (C0AE-2979-A) because I know this was used on Squarebirds, Edsels, Lincolns and other Fords.

    Hope this helps. - Dave
