im currently putting my tbird together and prepare for first start with a rebuilt engine and transmission.

So can someone help me to identify thoose 2 linkages here:

im currently putting my tbird together and prepare for first start with a rebuilt engine and transmission.

So can someone help me to identify thoose 2 linkages here:

The one on the left is the " throttle control rod " ( looks bent ). and the other is the " accelerator connecting link " . both will attach to the rocking bracket at the back of the engine , left side for the carburetor connecting link .

The linkage on the left is your kickdown linkage. It goes from the kickdown lever on the transmission to the throttle linkage on the intake manifold. The one on the right is your shift linkage. It goes from the transmission shift lever to the steering column shift lever.

Here's a pic of how they connect to the throttle bracket mounted to the engine. Not the greatest, but it may help a bit.
