Finally in Primer

Well, it's getting closer. Now for a lot of block sanding, paint and clear coat sanding. Probably a few more months.
Learning what they mean by "Patience is a virtue".
The painter really wants to go with a metallic white, but I'm still leaning for the traditional Corinthian White. Trying to keep the car as retro as possible.

That's a Beautiful Thing. Any benefits for the Metallic over Corinthian? If not, stay with your instincts.

At the plant, we scuff the primer, then shoot base coat with just a thin dusting (it looks like crap at this stage), then we immediately shoot three clear coats. The clear really helps the base stand out and when cured (we bake the paint) it looks so smooth it almost looks wet. - Dave

Looks good Nyles! If you are going to stay all original go with corinthian, if you are doing anything aside from stock, metallic white would be beautiful. Mines going back for final trim fit up then back for color and clear. Starting to get exciting again.

Looks good, Nyles. My vote is Corinthian White. Is the leading edge of the hood scoop slightly depressed?
