Bias Ply Tire Pressure

I bought my 60 with a new set of Coker Bias Ply tires.

I'm wondering if anyone else is using Bias Ply, and if so what tire pressure are you using?

The owners manual says 24 lbs, but that seems low, so I'm using 27 lbs. Any thoughts on tire pressure?

Bart I too have Cokers on my 58 and I run 27 front and 28 back. It seems to ride better in the city and also handle a little easier.

What size tire did you go with, 8.00 or 8.50? Your car must look sweet with those original style tires on it. Went to our local monthly cruise night on Thursday, lots of 55-57 Chevys with bias plys, nice finishing touch.

New Coker 8.00 were on there when I bought the car. The size should really be 8.50 because of the 430, but I'm not complaining.

I know that radials come in the wide side walls, but I'm not sure of what size radial is a match to the 8.50 bias. I don't drive it much, so these will probably last for a long long time.
