Thanks to a lot of help from our intrepid webmaster, Dave Dare ~ simplyconnected (whose user id belies the fact that he is not just "simply connected") I have started the establishment of a .pdf "Book" of extracted articles of interest to us owners of 1958-1966 Tbirds. You will find it in the Technical Resource Library (TRL) down at the bottom of the "Magazines" section. There is both historical information and technical information in these articles, so check them out! Look for the link to "Thunderbird Illustrated Magazine Articles" and click on it. If you do not have Adobe software on your PC, you can download a free copy of Adobe Reader from the web page. I will expand the "book" as I extract more pertinent articles and add to it. You can access the TRL by clicking on the link which is always below my signature element. You can print them out and read them if it is easier to do that way. Or you can zoom in on the articles and make them bigger to read. Let me know what you think of this.

I just finished adding four more articles from the "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines. I have now uploaded a total of 11 articles from the first three books. 3 from Edition #1, 4 from Edition #2, and 4 from Edition #3. As soon as I can, I will go on to Edition #4 and work on those. You can view these in the Technical Resource Library. They are down in the Magazine section. Here is the link to it.
simplyconnected gave you the link to the actual .pdf file. Here it is again.

Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
Thanks, Dan! Many of these articles in these magazines pertain to the Babybirds, but there are some very good ones on our '58-'66 Tbirds, and later years. Most are of a historical nature. I liked the one about the "Mexico" Tbird and what the 61-63 Bulletbirds might have looked like if the Alex Tremulis design had been chosen. Some are about the racing heritage of our Tbirds. There are just a few technical articles that refer to our '58-'66 Tbirds and I will put them up. The one I just did about troubleshooting and repairing convertible tops is an excellent technical article that anyone with a convertible will want to print out and keep.

Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
I have just uploaded another article from the "Thunderbird Illustrated" magazines. So far, I have upload articles that apply to our 1958-1966 Tbirds from the first 4 of 8 magazines. The latest one is called "When Thunderbirds Ruled Daytona" and will give you some more racing history of our beloved Tbirds. There is one more article in this magazine to create and upload. I hope you are enjoying reading them. I find that the best way to do it is to right click on the .pdf file and download it to my Desktop. Then you can bring it up and read it. I make the display full screen, and manually set the the Zoom feature to about 43%. That allows me to read it completely side to side. You will find these articles at the bottom of the Magazines section of the Technical Resource Library, which you can always find as part of my signature element.Last edited by YellowRose; March 2, 2011, 10:34 AM.

Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
I just uploaded the final article from the 4th magazine. I have four more magazines to go through. Fall 1974 Vol 1 Nr 1 contains these uploaded articles. "How Thunderbird Got Its Name"; "The 1966 Thunderbird"; "The 1962 Thunderbird Roadster"; Winter 1975 Vol 1 Nr 2 (There was a break in publication between Fall 1974 and Winter, 1975 apparently) contains these uploaded articles. "1958 Thunderbirds - A New Era of "Square Birds"; "Ford's Attempted Resurrection Of The "Early Birds", the story of the XT-Bird that never made it into production; "Trouble-Shooting 1960-1966 Thunderbird Convertible Tops", and if you own one, you will want to print this article out and make good use of it. Lots of good technical and wiring information here!; "1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster"; Spring 1975 Vol 1 Nr 3 contains these uploaded articles. "The Rise And Fall Of The Thunderbird Convertible"; "A 200MPH 1956 Thunderbird"; "1960 Thunderbirds - End Of An Era"; Summer 1975 Vol 1 Nr 4 contains these uploaded articles. "Stainless Is Forever"; "When Thunderbirds Ruled Daytona"; "Thunderbird Sport Roadsters - The Grand Experiment". So there ya go. I will start working on the 5th magazine next. I hope you are enjoying the articles. There is some good historical stuff and technical stuff. Keep in mind these articles were written in the mid 70's, when these cars were still fairly new. Also, there are a lot of good Babybird articles in these magazines that I did not extract because we have no Forum for Babybirds. I did extract the racing history involving the Babybirds and the Squarebirds because I found it interesting to read about the racing history of our Tbirds, and thought you would also.Last edited by YellowRose; March 2, 2011, 10:34 AM.

"Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
I just uploaded the only article from the Fall 1975 Vol 2 Nr 1 magazine that I chose to upload. Most of the articles in this issue were about the care and feeding of Babybirds. However, the article on the 1967-1970 "Four Door Tbirds" I thought was interesting. They did not last long. They did not go over well, though they gave you better access to getting into and out of the rear seats. Maybe it was the "Suicide Doors"? If you have been downloading the .pdf file you will want to re-download it each time I put more articles up so you have the current version.

Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
Last night I added a number of articles to the "Thunderbird Illustrated" pdf file on the Technical Resource Link. There are nearly 100 "pages" in the "book" now. I have one more magazine to go through which has three articles in it, one about racing the #10T '59 Tbird. I will copy those and add them as soon as I can. Remember when reading these articles that they were written in the mid 70's. Some of the information will no longer apply, and some of it still will. I hope you are enjoying the articles. You will find the link to them right above the picture of Alexander's Black Raven '60 Golde Top.

Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
This morning, I completed the extraction and uploading of all pertinent articles relating to the 1958 and up Tbirds from those "Thunderbird Illustrated" magazines. If you have not checked them out, you should do so. There is a lot of excellent information regarding the history and restoration of our Tbirds in them. You will find the link to them in the Technical Resource Library link down under the Magazines & Periodicals section. Whenever you are searching for technical information on a problem you are working on, remember to check these magazine articles.Last edited by YellowRose; October 2, 2011, 10:43 AM.

Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..
Hi Jeral,
That magazine was put out a good number of years ago and is no longer available. However, I was able to obtain a set of them and spent a lot of time and effort into compiling them and putting them into the Technical Resource Library. You can find them by clicking on the link to the TRL which is always part of my signature element. Either use the Find option and type in Thunderbird Illustrated and that will take you right to the link. Or just scroll down until you find the link.
