    WeatherStrip question

    Hi,

I'm installing new weatherstripping on the door windows, but don't know how far the strip is supposed to extend on the door edge. (The old rotted strips were trashed a long time ago, so no way to compare lengths.)

Does the strip extend across the entire length of the door along the vent window? Or does it stop at the vent window?

As always, thank you so much for your advice.

    Cheers,
    Richard

The longer pieces are the outer belt moldings. The shorter pieces attach to the door panels. The outer pieces tuck between the door and the vent window. Normally they are formed so they fit correctly between the vent window and outer door. You may need to trim the rubber in that area so they fit.
