Changing distributer

So on the swap I am installing Mallory distributer and coil. Will this require a change in voltage regulator or a specific type of alternator requirement?

I doesn't matter whether you use an alternator with an internal or external regulator. Remember you have an ignition resistance wire so wire it according to the instructions.
