The very last thing I expected, just minutes before Christmas Day ends, was to get a call regarding stupid flames and insults on our forum.

Alexander clearly posted expectations for ALL posters to follow. They are simple yet to the point:

The post, "Down Playing all those crappy front disc conversion", created by bdastrk, breaches Alexander's rules on many levels. I am dumping the entire thread because:
We do NOT allow personal insults, or bad-mouthing any of our members.
Pictures must not exceed 800 pixels wide.

If you need to PM another member, that is what "PRIVATE MESSAGE" is for. You can say what you want but keep it private. - Dave

My apologies to our valued members for tolerating incidents like this. As you can see, Mr. BDASTRK is banned. I politely asked him to stop in a PM but he thought our forum was a joke. Now, I understand he was recently banned from VTCI. I guess this isn't his first rodeo and I sure didn't expect my Christmas to end like this. - Dave

Just so you know.... I appreciate John ~ jopizz for coming to the defense of your Forum.... He tried to defuse this situation, but the other party was not to be deterred... just as he wasn't on the other Forum he was recently banned from....

Thanks guys, but it doesn't leave a fuzzy warm feeling inside. I love this forum and our members. By all accounts, you have made Squarebirds.org the friendliest, most helpful and resourceful international site on the world wide web.

In fairness I tried imposing a warning, but that only produced continued flames and elevated insults. I wasn't angry or impulsive when I pulled the plug. Now, after sleeping on it and after much discussion with the Administrators, I believe I did the right thing (according to Alexander's rules of conduct). I only hope we never see that behavior again. - Dave
