Hey Folks,
Haven't been around awhile ...
Before getting the cast off the Doc did an MRI and found that I had ripped a ligament in half. It's one that runs across the backside of the wrist.
While he's in there, the Doc discovers torn cartilege and part of a muscle that had ripped away from somewhere around the base of the thumb. Don't really know all the details ... I was too groggy after the operation to ask.
Suffice it to say that the planned 45 minute op took over two hours to complete.
Now I have a buttload of pins in my wrist, and it feels like the Doc made three incisions -- I'll know for sure in another week when the bandages come off and the pins come out.
Then I get 8-12 more weeks in another cast. yay. :\
Obviously I haven't been able to get much accomplished on my Bird.
