As I have turned my Squarebirds Calendar over, I am enjoying the view of the beautiful white '60 Tbird of Eric Taylor this month!

Thanks for mentioning it Ray - glad you are enjoying the pic. I'm honored to be chosen for October. That is a special month for me as it was my late sons birth month so without knowing - you picked the perfect month for my Tbrid to be featured.

The picture was taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Mt Mitchell overlook just after crossing Mt Mitchell. 6,684 ft above sea level - the highest point east of the Mississippi - and the Tbird sure was running fine that day.

October Squarebird Of The Month

Hi Eric, first of all my condolences on the loss of your son. Knowing you are in North Carolina, I have been wondering ever since I first saw that picture, where it was taken from. Having driven the Blue Ridge Parkway in the past, I thought it looked familiar. Thanks for filling us in on the location. I picked that picture because of the beauty of your Tbird and the background. I thought it would be a good picture for the month of October. For those who have not seen it, here it is, minus the Squarebirds Logo at the top and wording at the bottom indicating the owner. I tried to scan in the calendar pic of it, but it was not a good copy.

Eric she is a beauty and looks so majestic againgst that mountain backdrop. The fact that Ray added your car pix in October, is special....

Thought you guys might enjoy this link. It is a webcam from the top of the mountain where the picture of my car was taken. As of 4:15ish on 10/20 it was 29 deg F and lots of frozen moisture on the trees.......burrrrrr.....

When the clouds are not obscuring the view you can see why it's one of my favorite drives in the Tbird (particularly now that I have the front discs). Check back tomorrow - it should be a clear day.
