    Steering wheel swap

I called an outfit that cuts down the diameter of steering wheels and stroke out on getting my 17" '60 Bird wheel modified. However, it was suggested that a '61 Bird at 16" would probably fit. Any one know for sure?

I've seen a steering wheel from a '61-'63 mounted on a '60, which was a modification made by the car's owner. Check the splines on the steering shaft and compare against the wheel you want to use - you should find one spline that is wider than the others - this keys the wheel to the shaft.
