    Carpet Colour

With the acquisition of my new baby comes some work to get her back to it's former glory
I know I need carpet and boot liner at a bare minimum I have a new carpet for my black 60 not yet fitted i got these from Concourse Parts. I see via a search that some carpet sets don't fit well and have yet to see if I have one of these.
That said I don't want 2 that don't fit !! Any input on this?
Also colour can anyone shed some light as to what this colour is?
As you can see from the pic some staining has occurred possible A/C drain hopefully not worse
On the boot liner kit the one I fitted to my black 60 fits great

    Carpet Colour

    Hi Richard,

It looks like Dark Saddle to me. Take a look at the Bird Nests online catalog at: http://www.tbirdparts.com/ Bring up 1960 as the year and scroll down until you find the carpet colors. The closest one to me to what you have is Dark Saddle. Check it out.

      Thanks Ray
Not sure which colour it is the one in there looks very orange
I thought it should be light saddle, the sandalwood looks good but I want to get it correct. Might ask Ken what is in his other Beechwwod convertible.

Am i right in assuming there is no reference on trim/carpet colour? but then you know what happens when you ***-u-me

I would ask Ken what color trim/carpet he put in that Tbird when he restored it. You might be looking at the very same material he put it it back then. If not, then ask him what he has in the one he has presently. You might check some of the other vendor catalogs to see what they show for trim/carpet color.

I hope that is not a heater core leaking onto your carpet.
Have you drove this Bird enough to try the heating system out?

I would go back with the original Burtex trunk mat kit from ACC on this fine *RARE* T-Bird.

            Carpet Colour

            Hi Jon,

The picture Richard is showing is the '60 J Code he just bought and is in the process of being shipped to him. That is a picture I gather that was provided him by the seller. He will have the opportunity, several months down the road, once it passes inspection and is turned over to him, to check that problem out.

Sandalwood is the correct carpet color.

                  Carpet Colour

It might be called Sandalwood by some merchants, but according to the VTCI OFS if you have a 60 Tbird with Trim Code 84 as he does, leather seats, the correct carpet for it is called Medium Brown, Ford M-#1326. Throughout the various catalogs from our parts vendors, I see it referred to as various shades of beige. Now, I have not looked up Ford M-#1326. Maybe that says Sandalwood. Here is the Interior Component Color Chart for the 1960 Squarebird. I had to downsize it to upload it, so it is a bit rough to see, but it says Trim Code 84 Color Med Beige, and when you go across and down the column from Carpet, the X indicates the Carpet is Medium Brown.

                    Hey guys
Another thing on this carpet issue I just thought of
With this carpet being a "special dye colour" by the builder of the car I think I'm going to have an issue with the base of the front seat where the carpet is. Hopefully I can get a little more carpet to add to this.
As per the attached my suspicion that it should be sandlewood may be correct see Birds Nest link. Your feedback is always appreciated
