Two other things come to mind:

1)some kind of survey to find out how much demand there is for new door panels. I have no idea...

2) photos of another '58 as well as '59 and '60. I have no idea if what you are looking at on mine is the original configuration, or if it's some aftermarket attempt that cut some corners. So members with original interiors might be helpful (both vinyl and leather)

(judging by the heaps that appear on Ebay for auction, there are quite a few cars in need of interiors!!)

Hey John,
Ray had posted some pictures of Jay's Beige leather interior sometime back. I looked and I can't find them right now, also I can't remember if the pictures had very good shots of door panels or not.
I will try to find them this evening, if you guys don't find them first.

Good point John on the demand issue, lol

It will be a little bit, but I'll be doing Coral's seats as well as checking out the carpeting field...

Carpetting was another area I was going to bring up as I bought a kit and did mine recently.

Specifically:
* there is very little actual material
* only the floor pieces are bound on the edges
* it could be cut from a pattern with a utility knife
* MAC's wants $44/yd for extra material (!!)

Now how expensive can raw carpetting be???

I think a kit was $160. Not nearly as bad as doors but it would be nice to see what's involved.

The other aspect of carpetting worth mentioning is the heal & toe pads Fuz has worked up. They are much more accurate than the faint attempts that MAC's has on theirs. One could not only sell a nice carpet but a better reproduction!! (see his posts from this winter)
