Temperature Guage Out?

Ok somewhere between the parts store and my garage the fuel guage magically started working again but now the temperature guage doesnt work...at least not the way it should. The needle stays around the C and then all of a sudden will move to the center of the C and H then go back to the C position? Anybody know whats going on or experienced this before because i seriously doubt the engine is running cold all the time.

Check your Gauge voltage regulator. It runs both the temp and fuel gauges. Its located on a bracket behind the clock. Look at a 62/3 manual, there are some tests you can do to determine if thats the problem....

thanks ill tear it apart this weekend, are there reproduction reducers available?

There are replacement voltage regulators available.
