Higher performance in what way? The stock shocks seemed to be well matched to the stock suspension. It is not a high performance suspension to so speak. Nice and squishy for the cruisin! LOL

I'm very partial to the KYB gas adjust shocks. Had good luck with them and they give good performance for the price.

        kyb shocks

I haven't been able to find a listing for kyb shocks for a 1963 thunderbird.
I have ask at the auto parts & tire/ alignment stores as well as on the internet.
I could use some help if anyone can tell what to order.

          shocks

Rodney if you google KYB Gas Adjust Shocks, you will find a number of places who sell them. However, someone needs to tell you which ones to get for your '63 Tbird. I looked at one site and they did not list the Thunderbird. Here is the link to the KYB website.

Here is a list of a number of KYB shops not far from Hemet... Maybe one of them can tell you which model will fit on a '63 Tbird....

Type in Hemet, CA and select 50 miles...

These guys make custom springs and sway bars for the Bullet Bird. You might ask them what shocks they used for the R&D to their products.
