Where can I get a new harmonic balancer and how much money are they for a 1957 Thunderbird?

    Thanks!

There's a repair sleeve available. Do you need the whole balancer. If so you'll probably have to find a used one. New ones aren't available to my knowledge.

Thanks Ray and John. You guys are great. My mechanic Peter Leddy said the one on my '57 "needed to be welded or replaced". He said they were expensive. So naturally I went searching all the sources I could find. Nothing. He didn't say where he could find one.

          1957 harmonic balancer

Scott, if Peter or someone on here can give you the '57 Part # for this harmonic balancer, then you might be able to find it at one of these Obsolete Parts companies. You are probably going to have to provide them with the Part #, because it has been my experience that is what they look it up by on their computer systems. Here is what I have culled out of the Advertisements Forum that you might want to check out...

Here is the web page and contact information for Desert Valley Auto Parts, in Phoenix, of Desert Car Kings TV show fame. 800-905-8024.

Wow! Thanks for the telephone call to alert me of more firms that you posted that have '55-'57 parts. Now I shouldn't have trouble finding parts for my car.

            Happy New Year to all.

                1957 harmonic balancer

Scott, I did some research on the part # for the 1957 harmonic balancer. Apparently, the 1955 1956 1957 Thunderbird Harmonic Balancer are the same part #, B5SZ-6312-A. There is one for sale on feeBay, new, NOS, but it is expensive. I will email you the link to it.

Thanks, John! By the way, I sure like your '59 convertible. Those model Thunderbirds grows more popular.

                        1957 harmonic balancer

Scott found his harmonic balancer through Peter who is working on his Tbird. I gather he already has it on his car now. If any of you should come up with the source for one though, please post it in case other Little Bird owners might need one. Thanks!
