If you look at the pic on the fan shroud article of mine, it doesn't fit perfect because my radiator is slightly over-size. it fit perfect w/the orig core. Just the brackets on the bottom need to be tweaked.Comment

Fan shroud Dearborn Classic
I just got my new shroud delivered today. It is fiberglass, gloss, shiney black. It does look like there will need to be some tweaks to install it. I imagine the fan blades will have to come off. I see that I have a flex fan on here that looks a little bit smaller than the original. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.BirdmanComment

For all of you pursuing cooler engines (aside from better root beer...) don't forget that changing from your 4 blade fan to a 6 blade is a cheap, simple and proven upgrade, whether or not you are also getting a shroud.

I ran the 6 blade for a short period when I still had the old motor in it (W/O a shroud) It did help.Comment

I definitely agree with the boys, on the 6 blade fan vs the 4 blade model. As these birds run warm anyway the more the better, especially in certain regions.I am curious as to how the fan shroud system works out ??
