Along with Mondeo, Ford will bring redesigned C-MAX to Geneva

Although it was lost in the hype surrounding the eminent debut of the new Mondeo, Ford will be unveiling their new C-MAX people mover in Geneva, and judging by the details and the photos, it's another vehicle we'd love to see Stateside.

The new C-MAX will be ditching its drab Focus flavored styling in favor of Ford's "kinetic design" philosophy, taking cues from the aforementioned Mondeo and S-MAX. The new front face draws heavily from the family tree, with sharper lines, creases and a more aerodynamic profile that seems to be missing with most MPVs, both here and abroad.

The interior benefits from all the expected amenities, including automatic, dual climate controls, six-disc changer, MP3 hookup and new lighting elements that Ford recons makes the drive to the store that much more enjoyable. Soft touch plastics, leather seats, and infinite customization await those willing to shell out the necessary coinage, including heated seats, six-way electric adjustable and heated front seats, four-way adjustable rear thrones, a panoramic roof, Bi-Xenon headlamps, sports suspension, 17-inch alloys, and on, and on, and on.

Power will be available from 1.6-, 1.8- or 2-liter gas-powered engines, a 1.8-liter Flexfuel unit or one of Ford's TDCi diesels, again, offered in 1.6-, 1.8- or 2-liters of displacement, the latter coming equipped with a six-speed manual unit. Sales will begin in April of this year.
