I just got back from having my spare tire mounted and put in the trunk, and the left front one checked for a slow leak. Another step in getting ready for the Show & Tell in Castroville, TX this Friday night. While I was there, I had him put my new propeller wheel covers on my tires. I got them from Hub Cap Haven, in MN. If ya wanna see them go to Photobucket. As usual, once there, just click on each picture to get a bigger view.

My GF got a set just like those from Mooneyes in error
She was trying to order a set of caps for the 65 for me and a set just like those are what was sent. There were more expensive caps than what were ordered and we ended up sending them back.
I thought they look even better in person than a photo can show by the way.Comment

Very cool look, I think they're called Oldsmobile 'Fiesta' hubcaps? As Casey says, they give your Squarebird a neat nostalgic look. The car's looking really sharp, well done.Comment

Wanna See My New Wheel Covers??
Thanks for the comments. I found them in Hubcap Havens Retro section as I recall. I had seen them before in past years once or twice on other cars and liked them. I dont know what make they were on, but I knew what I was looking for when it come to putting full covers on my Bird. It took me awhile to find them. I actually found a new set at a tire shop here (and they are still there if anyone wants them! I can get them for you. $20 each I think it was) and bought them until we tried to put them on and found they were 15's and not 14 inchers. At that point, I went on the hunt for the right size and found them. $20 each, as I recall, $80 a set, or close to it. I like them, and I also think they look cool.
If I had not found them, I was thinking of buying some Casino Cream Martin Senour paint from NAPA and spray painting my rims. Then I was gonna go on the hunt for four "dog dish" hubcaps! Or vice versa! That would have looked cool also I think, to have your rims match the body paint! I know.. that is not original for a '59, but I am not trying to win any awards... Just enjoying my Bird! Like Alexander told me too!

My ´58 have hubcaps from ´63, with spinners when the car came to me. I love them, and will keep them ( see pic under "new member").
Apart from that, I love your Yellow / White paint combo! Very beutiful.Comment

Ray they do look rather unique as the full black of your tires pulls ot the yellow in the squarebird.
