A long time friend of mine from Ham Radio days used to own a 1959 Ford Retractable. He was a member of the http://www.skyliner.org/ and his car was awarded 3rd place. If you go to the website, and click on the Photos link, you will be able to view the 1957, '58 and '59 Retractables. My father-in-law to be had one back in 1958, I think it was. We liked to have wore it out the first weekend, taking the top out of the trunk and putting it back in!

That is a beautiful 58!
I had a 58 4dr, 6 banger, 3 spd that I got after I sucked a valve in my 56 when I missed 2nd while racing a scrub.
That was in Ohio and in 1965. Already the rockers and the headlights were rusted out from the salt on the roads. I used to call it "The Crusty Eight"Comment
