For those of you that missed it
Thanks for posting the links, Bob! It looks like that had a great turnout of Tbirds and people. I see they had some rain which is always a difficult thing to contend with. Especially if you had just finished the "Shine" part of "Show & Shine". Should be "Shine & Show!" There were two favorite pix that I really enjoyed. One is the RetroBird with the Continental kit that I had never seen before. The other was the 2-toned '60 Squarebird. I see someone added the chrome spear points to it. Or did they add the '60 roof emblem and the hashmarks to a '59? Interesting! I did not see any pix of the back or front end of it to tell. Here they are.Last edited by YellowRose; June 27, 2011, 11:52 AM.

Glad you liked the pictures Ray, the rain stopped just in time to give us a beautiful sunny day for judging. I managed a 1st place in the touring class, there were 81 cars in all which is quite a turn out for a regional event. to solve the squarebird mystery, here's a picture I took Sunday morning, looks like the date is wrong on my camera. (only 2 tail lights per side).

Thanks for the additional pic! It looks like someone, like me, liked the '60 Tbird C-Column emblems, hood and trunk emblems and hash marks better than the '59's and decided to make it a '59/'60 model! I like the '60 tailight set up also, but I certainly would not like to redo all those squares around them. Re-doing that section in my '59 was interesting enough! That was a great turnout! About double of what we had for our South Central Region convention. We had hoped that we would have had more, but you have to go with what ya get!

Thanks Eric, here's a list of VTCI chapters in your region. If you haven't joined the VTCI or even a local club, you're missing out on a lot of good times. It's not expensive and you can get together with a real nice bunch of people that share a common interest. http://vintagethunderbirdclub.org/south_east_region.htmComment
