Speaking of Hoses

I have the 61 up "ribbed" style surge tank.
I think the upr hose dia is different. If I just
get a Gates hose for a 62 TBird or full size
Ford or Merc, I should be fine right?

Your radiator is 2" so you need to find a hose that's 2" by 1 3/4". Most later Ford hoses are 1 3/4" by 1 3/4". Most people use the stock Squarebird hose and put a spacer around the later expansion tank outlet.
